ENVIRONMENTAL ENFORCEMENT TRAINING
July 7-11, 2008
Davis Jones, Environmental Scientist and Sub-Director of the International Compliance Assurance Division, and David Lastra, Lawyer and Regional Criminal Enforcement Counsel of the Environmental Protection Agency, conducted a four day training workshop on Environmental Enforcement on July 7-11. Dr. Raúl Vidable, Argentine Undersecretary for Environmental Control and Contamination Prevention and over 40 inspectors from the Argentine Secretariat of Environment participated on the workshop. In addition, Dr. Jones and Dr. Lastra joined Argentine officials in visits and inspections, and lectured at Fundacion Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (FARN) where they held discussions with a group of 20 experts.
