US SPEAKER TALKS ABOUT CASE LAW AND JUDICIAL EFFICACY
July 3-4, 2008
On July 3rd and 4th the Embassy of the United Status of America hosted, in the context of the seventh year of its Program “Justice Undergoing Change” a two day speaker program on the topic “Case Law and Judicial Efficacy” with the presentation of US Speaker Hon. Bohdan A. Futey, Judge of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
Among other subjects, Judge Futey explained the main characteristics of the Common Law System and the tools currently used by the U.S. courts to achieve efficacy through leadership, case management, court administration, alternative dispute resolution and technology.
The Program included lectures, round tables and meetings and was organized in cooperation with the Supreme Court of Justice of Argentina, Association of Judges and Judicial Officials of the National Judiciary, Libra Foundation, Austral University, International Judicial Academy, University of Belgrano, University of Buenos Aires and the Argentine American Dialogue, among other institutions.
