Non Immigrant Visas

General Information and How to Apply

Welcome to the Non-immigrant Visa Section of the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires.  This Section provides Visa services to argentines and citizens of other countries that reside in Argentina and are willing to enter temporarily the United States.  Visitors may travel to the United States for Business or pleasure, but we process nonimmigrant visas for many different purposes such as students, temporary workers, journalists, religious workers, etc. If your purpose of travel is other than business or pleasure, you will need to apply for a visa in the appropriate category. The different types of non-immigrant visas are listed on the left of this page. Click on the left navigation bar for more information on visa types. To apply for a non-immigrant visa in Buenos Aires you will need to request a visa appointment with our Visa Information Service. You may find further information on this page on "how to apply" and "required documents".
